Guardian Ad Litem
Guardian ad Litem is appointed by the court or agreed to by the parents’ attorneys or the parents themselves to make a recommendation on what is in the best interest of a child while a proceeding is taking place, most commonly in divorce and custody cases. It is the guardian’s role to be the eyes and ears of the court and make recommendations in the best interest of the child.
