Why Mediate Instead of Litigate

Why Mediate Instead of Litigate

Matters of child custody and divorce can be highly emotional conflict and with that conflict a solution must come.  That solution most believe can only come from long litigation and the introduction of many different people into the matter.

In mediation, you have the decision making power over what happens to you and your children, and can create a solution that will work for you and your family. Negotiation between the parties and even their attorneys can bring an agreement on custody, child support, property and all other matters with a strong written agreement.

When a Judge decides, they alone choose the solution, and while you may be able to influence that decision, there is no way to predict what a Judge or jury may do, however with a mediated settlement agreement, the parties remain in control.
